{"id":129,"date":"2015-02-10T10:55:14","date_gmt":"2015-02-10T10:55:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/internationalpartnerships-news\/?p=129"},"modified":"2016-06-14T10:56:05","modified_gmt":"2016-06-14T09:56:05","slug":"universitys-membership-of-international-network-supports-research-collaboration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/internationalpartnerships-news\/2015\/02\/10\/universitys-membership-of-international-network-supports-research-collaboration\/","title":{"rendered":"University&#8217;s membership of international network supports research collaboration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A partnership supported by the SGroup European Universities Network (SGroup) has led to the joint publication of a collective work taking a multidisciplinary, global view on political sciences theory: <a href=\"http:\/\/r-evolutions.amu.edu.pl\/index.php\/projects\/80-projects\/130-sg-publication\">Evolving Dependency Relations; Old and new approaches<\/a> is the outcome of the <a href=\"http:\/\/r-evolutions.amu.edu.pl\/index.php\/home\">R\/evolutions project<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The SGroup awarded seed money to the Revolutions project to support its first conference, hosted by Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU) in the city of Pozna\u0144, Poland, in March 2014. Alongside the University of Kent, project partners within the SGroup include AMU, Malm\u00f6 University, Sweden, and the University of Catania, Italy.<\/p>\n<p>Larry Ray, professor in the University of Kent\u2019s School of Social Policy, Sociology, and Social Research and member of the R\/evolutions project team said: &#8216;This is an exciting project that began with a stimulating wide ranging conference on global dependency in Pozna\u0144 in 2014 and promises to further collaboration on critical international social and political questions between the partner institutions and beyond&#8217;.<br \/>\nThe SGroup is European network of higher education institutions comprising over 30 members from 16 European countries.\u00a0 It was founded in 1989 in Spain with the aim of establishing special academic, cultural and socio-economic ties and exchanging best practice, to enhance the development of European education and research policies.
