This\u00a0opportunity is thanks to\u00a0Kent&#8217;s membership of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sgroup.be\/\">SGroup European Universities Network.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The InterContinental Academic Exchange Programme (ICon) was created by the SGroup Network with the following objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To facilitate collaboration in research and education between SGroup members and Latin America and China;<\/li>\n<li>To encourage development of joint projects that can form bids to EU and other relevant funding programmes;<\/li>\n<li>To promote development of collaborative\u00a0programmes such as co-tutelles and dual awards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The current call under ICon\u00a0was initially open\u00a0for bids for short visits from academic and professional services staff at SGroup member institutions to institutions in China and Colombia. Funding for projects with Colombia has now been allocated; however, there is still funding available to support work with China.<\/p>\n<p>The duration of the mobility should be from 7 days to 1 month and the\u00a0bursaries are worth \u20ac1000 each.<\/p>\n<p>Each SGroup member institution is able to put forward one application to the ICon programme.
