{"id":1162,"date":"2018-11-22T09:31:34","date_gmt":"2018-11-22T09:31:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/internationalpartnerships-news\/?p=1162"},"modified":"2018-11-22T09:31:34","modified_gmt":"2018-11-22T09:31:34","slug":"opportunity-to-study-in-brussels-and-beijing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/internationalpartnerships-news\/2018\/11\/22\/opportunity-to-study-in-brussels-and-beijing\/","title":{"rendered":"Opportunity to study in Brussels and Beijing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students at Kent\u2019s Brussels School of International Studies (BSIS) have the opportunity to study in Beijing for either one or two terms following the extension of the \u2018Two Capitals\u2019 exchange arrangement with China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU).<\/p>\n<p>CFAU, which is jointly administrated by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and \u00a0the Chinese Ministry of Education, is known as a training ground for senior diplomats, and is classed as a \u2018Double First Class Discipline University\u2019 by the Chinese Government.<\/p>\n<p>The opportunity to study at CFAU is open to students registered on range of master\u2019s degrees at BSIS; the two term exchange option has the added benefit of allowing BSIS students to study towards an additional award from CFAU.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Jeremy Carrette, Dean for Europe, welcomes the deepening of Kent\u2019s partnership with CFAU:<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>We are delighted to offer students at BSIS the chance to combine the unique opportunity of studying for a UK postgraduate degree in the \u2018capital of Europe\u2019 with the experience of\u00a0 studying at a prestigious Chinese university\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The extension to the partnership with CFAU was marked by the visit of Prof Sun Jisheng, Vice-President of CFAU to BSIS. The visit forms part of the recently launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/global\/think-kent\/showcase.html\">Kent Global Showcase<\/a>.
