The University hosted its fourth Internationalisation Forum on Wednesday 20th January. The Forum was opened by David Nightingale, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and the programme led by Dr Anthony Manning, Dean for Internationalisation. The aim of the Forum was to highlight good practice in internationalisation from across the University.
The first half of the programme gave colleagues from the Faculties and Professional Services an opportunity to showcase new initiatives linked to internationalisation, including Summer Schools, Think Kent, curriculum internationalisation, the International Visitors’ project and Alumni Associations. The second half of the programme looked at The Global Engagement Partnership Index, Global Research Opportunities Events and the changing landscape of internationalisation.
Dr Anthony Manning presented the new Internationalisation Award, which recognises and rewards Schools that are actively engaged in, and have a demonstrable track record in strategic innovation in internationalisation.
David Nightingale commented that the event compliments the internationalisation strategy 2015-2020 and its five main objectives.
