Kent’s first formal institutional partnership in Bangladesh

The University of Kent has signed a memorandum of understanding with North South University (NSU), Bangladesh. The partnership with NSU, Bangladesh’s first private higher education institution, developed through research connections with Kent’s School of Economics. The partnership will focus on collaboration with Kent’s new MSc in Development Economics but will also bring wider opportunities for staff exchange and joint academic activity.

In a joint online signing ceremony, Professor Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of NSU, welcomed the development of institutional links, stating that they will bring great benefits to students and staff; words echoed by Professor Karen Cox, Kent’s Vice-Chancellor, in a video message.

The memorandum of understanding marks Kent’s first formal partnership in Bangladesh.
