Thanks to Kent’s membership of the SGroup European Universities Network, Kent staff are eligible to apply for funding under the InterContinental Academic Exchange Programme (ICon). The Icon scheme aims to promote and facilitate collaboration between SGroup members and its overseas partners through a short-term mobility scheme for staff. The current call is open for applications to support partnerships with China and Colombia.
Funding is available to support visits of between seven days to one month.
The evaluation panel formed of the Sgroup Executive members will consider applications in light of the following programme priorities:
- To facilitate collaboration in research and education between the EU and Latin America and China;
- To develop joint projects that may be developed for EU funding bids and other relevant programmes
- To promote the establishment of co-tutelles and other collaborative degree provision
