Our visits around the globe this Autumn

The International Partnerships team have a busy calendar of overseas visits this Autumn term.

In October, Director Hannah McNorton joined a delegation visit to Japan, led by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dame Julia Goodfellow. The trip included visits to our partner universities Aoyama Gakuin, Kogakuin, Kobe, Kansai Gaidai and Musashi, the signing of a new agreement with Hiroshima University, along with an evening reception with Japanese partners, exchange students, applicants, alumni and other friends of the University. Professor Roger Vickerman visited our partners Rosario and Los Andes in Colombia and met with exchange students and alumni, and our Study Abroad & Exchanges Officer Hazel Lander attended Study Abroad Fairs in North America. Hazel’s trip included visits to our partner university UC (Riverside, Irvine, UCLA and San Diego), and she also attended the Generation Study Abroad Summit in Washington DC.

In November, Hannah McNorton will attend a University delegation visit to Berlin, visiting our partner Freie Universität Berlin. In Berlin, the University will host another evening reception for partners, exchange students, applicants and alumni. Also in November, the International Partnerships team will be in attendance at the SGroup General Assembly and Liaison Officers’ Meeting in Norway, will visit articulation partners in China, and our partner universities in Malaysia.
