Sue Hopkinson, Assistant Director of International Development at the University of Kent, was invited to be the keynote speaker at the recent CATS College Canterbury graduation ceremony, held at the Gulbenkian Theatre on the University of Kent’s Canterbury Campus on the 13th of June.
The ceremony was attended by approximately 350 graduating students and their parents, and was a joyous occasion, with the ceremony and handing out of certificates being interspersed with music and drama, all coordinated and performed by the students. There was even the ‘Periodic Table’ sang by the Chemistry teacher, Dr Howard Clarke – a memorable turn!
The University of Kent is proud of its relationship with CATS College, which goes back over 15 years. International Development regularly visits the college, to give talks, and meet with potential applicants, and we have hosted CATS students on campus to meet with academic schools, and get a feel of what life at Kent might be like.
The University of Kent would like to thank CATS for involving International Development in this wonderful occasion, and congratulates all graduating students and their parents. We wish them all success with their future university careers.
