The European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) is a membership organisation dedicated to the promotion and development of palliative care throughout Europe and the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) works to promote global neurological education and training. At the recent 4th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology held in Lisbon, both organisations took the opportunity to showcase their close collaboration. For the first time there was a dedicated EAPC / EAN Symposium specifically on the subject Palliative care and effective management of terminal neurological conditions as part of the wider conference programme.

Professor David Oliver from the Tizard Centre is the Co-Chair of the EAN Palliative Care Panle and spoke at the Symposium, organised a workshop and led a session at Scientific Theatre at the Congress.

Further details about the conference including the programme and papers can be found on the conference website.
