The British Council’s GREAT Scholarships programme 2022, which sits within the British Council’s Study UK campaign, is set to launch next week.
For 2022 we will be offering dedicated scholarships of £10,000 to Chinese, Indian, Kenyan, Malaysia, Nigerian and Thai passport holders applying for a taught master’s programme based at one of our UK campuses. These prestigious scholarships are funded jointly by the UK Government’s GREAT Britain campaign, the British Council and the University of Kent, and are aimed at students who are active within their chosen fields.
We are delighted to be part of the scheme once again, and in addition to our usual offering for students applying for any of any of our UK based taught master’s programmes, we will also be offering one new GREAT Scholarship for Justice and Law, for one Canterbury LLM student from Thailand.
Watch our video and hear from our International team and our GREAT Scholar Nadine Steer on why you should apply for a GREAT Scholarship and get advice on how to apply.
“I am grateful for the GREAT scholarship as it provided me with the opportunity to pursue my studies in the UK. Some of the best advice I got was, ‘Even if you think you are not qualified, go ahead and apply as you never know what could happen”
Nadine Steer, GREAT Scholar 2020, BSc Biological Anthropology
The GREAT Justice and Law scholarships are delivered by the Study UK campaign in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the University of Kent. These scholarships will showcase the UK’s long and fascinating history in the field of law, as the new time-limited offer. With some of the oldest and most prestigious law schools in the world, the UK offers an exceptional choice of courses to anyone embarking on a legal career – both in the UK and internationally.
As well as the financial benefit of the scholarships, GREAT scholars will have the opportunity to attend high profile events with other scholars and special guests, including the Minster of Justice at the Justice and Law networking events.
Both GREAT awards will go towards one year of tuition fees. Details about how to apply will be available soon.
