Starting well at Kent

Are you a new international student joining us in September 2022?

We have arranged various welcome events which are designed to help you to settle into student life at Kent.

Academic Skills for University Students, 12 – 16 September 2022

This free, one-week course is for international students who have accepted a place to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Kent. It takes place online, the week before term starts, introducing you to studying at a UK university, student life at Kent and its campuses.  Please sign up and register by 7 September 12pm BST.  For more information and an indicative timetable, please see our website.

Global Hangout, 21 September 2022, 11.00-1.00pm or 2.00-4.00pm

All new international students are invited to attend the Welcome Week Global Hangout to kick-off the new academic year.  Come along to this year’s festival-themed, Global Hangout to get to know your fellow new international students while enjoying a wide range of activities, free food and music.  There are two time slots that you can choose between and space is limited, so make sure you book your free ticket here.

International Student Experience Fair, 20 October 2022, 12.00-2.00pm

Enjoy an afternoon of cake and refreshments, and find out about the support services available to international students.  You’ll be able to discover how you can get help with your studies and improve your learning experience and hear about the opportunities at Kent.  No need to book, just turn up at Darwin Conference Suite.
