iCCi’s new Director of Digital and Future Technologies

We are delighted to announce Will Draffin as iCCi’s Director of Digital and Future Technologies.

Starting with iCCi in April, Will has a wealth of experience in emerging technologies, including MR, XR and AR, and their practical use across the creative industries. This new role at iCCi will be instrumental in driving forward digital development within the Institute and beyond, including Docking Station, our hub for digital creative industries, and our research, artistic programmes and work with young people

Will started his career in synthetic chemistry before moving over to the Creative and Cultural sector. With 18 years of experience in technical production and production/project management roles in varied parts of the industry including concert touring, live event, outside broadcast and program making, he brings a wonderful range of perspectives.

‘We are incredibly excited to welcome Will to our team’, said Professor Catherine Richardson, iCCi Director, ‘as productive links with industry and a focus on digital innovation in research and teaching become of central importance at University of Kent, epitomised by our work at Docking Station, he joins us at the perfect time!’.
