Former ICCI Partnerships Director appointed as Fellow Emerita

ICCI is delighted to announce the appointment of Liz Moran as Fellow Emerita

Liz Moran, newly appointed Fellow Emerita of the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries, joined the University of Kent in 2011 as Director of the Gulbenkian.

Liz repositioned Gulbenkian as a leading 21st Century International Arts Centre with the creative empowerment of children and young people at its heart and an increased emphasis on contemporary dance and live music.

Under her direction, Gulbenkian became a National Portfolio Organisation with Arts Council England in 2014.

From 2017, Liz held the role of Director of Arts and Culture at the University, helping to set up the Cultural Innovation Forum for Higher Education Institutions across the South East, and an MoU with Arts Council England which focused on a commitment to working together to develop shared research interests and strategies to develop the Cultural and Creative Economy in Kent; improve health and well-being and addressing inequalities of opportunity for children and young people in the county.

As Chair of the Medway Cultural Partnership, she worked in collaboration with Medway Council to bid for UK City of Culture 2025, leading a partnership bid to the Cultural Development Fund and successfully securing £4.3 million.

Liz worked to set up the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries, and became its Partnerships Director in 2019.
