Louise is a Senior Lecturer in Stylistics at the University of Huddersfield, which she joined in January 2016. Her research interests centre around stylistics, cognitive poetics, cognitive grammar and reader response research. She is author of Mind Style and Cognitive Grammar (2018, Bloomsbury) and co-editor of Cognitive Grammar in Literature (2014, John Benjamins). She co-edits the Bloomsbury book series Advances in Stylistics (with Dan McIntyre). She is the current Secretary of the International Association of Literary Semantics.
