On Tuesday, 23 May, the University of Kent welcomed more than 100 members of the Canterbury and District branch of the University of the Third Age to campus for the research showcase event. The event featured a sharing of various research projects, posters and performances, as well as discussing options for future partnerships with U3A.
The Memorandum acts to reflect the University’s commitment to its community and region, and the importance it places upon strengthening such links in an aim to ‘promote the benefits of learning in later life through self-help learning’.
The Research Showcase was generously supported by the Faculty of Humanities, Gulbenkian, Music Department, Graduate School, and the Public Engagement with Research Fund at the University of Kent.
