{"id":537,"date":"2020-10-20T18:09:16","date_gmt":"2020-10-20T17:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychotech\/?p=537"},"modified":"2020-10-27T14:46:17","modified_gmt":"2020-10-27T14:46:17","slug":"537","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/hsstech\/2020\/10\/20\/537\/","title":{"rendered":"How to access, download and share recordings of Zoom meetings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>How to access, download and share recordings of Zoom meetings<\/p>\n<p>Assuming your Zoom meeting has already taken place and you have recorded it, this post details how to access it and how to download the audio and or video files to you local computer.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a browser, goto <a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/\">https:\/\/zoom.us\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Login using the SAME zoom account details as the account that recorded the meeting.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u2018Recordings link on the left menu :<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychotech\/files\/2020\/10\/z1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-539\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychotech\/files\/2020\/10\/z1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"189\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>The main window should update to show a list of recordings that have been saved.<\/li>\n<li>Identify the recording of interest and left-click on the link in the \u2018File Size column\u2019<br \/>\ne.g.<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychotech\/files\/2020\/10\/z2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-538\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychotech\/files\/2020\/10\/z2-300x161.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/hsstech\/files\/2020\/10\/z2-300x161.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/hsstech\/files\/2020\/10\/z2.png 417w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>There are typically two files associated with each recording, a \u2018shared screen with speaker view\u2019 one and an \u2018audio\u2019 one. If you move your mouse over the row for the file of interest a download arrow should appear, just click this. e.g.<br \/>\nor alternatively click the \u2018download 2 files\u2019 button to download them both.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychotech\/files\/2020\/10\/z3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-540\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychotech\/files\/2020\/10\/z3-300x98.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"98\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/hsstech\/files\/2020\/10\/z3-300x98.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/hsstech\/files\/2020\/10\/z3.png 439w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Once you have your files, if you need to share them with someone then a good way is to use Kent\u2019s \u2018GEOsend\u2019 file transfer service. See here for details: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/software\/goesend\">https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/software\/goesend<\/a><\/li>\n<li>If you want to upload these video\/audio recordings into Panopto this is straightforward. First, login to Panopto in a browser (or click &#8216;manage recordings&#8217; form the panopto desktop client which will open the relevant browser page for you). Second, click the &#8216;Create&#8217; button top-centre and select the &#8216;upload media&#8217; option. Thirdly, drag and drop the audio\/vido file into the browser windon and follow the instruction (uploading and processing a large file can take a few minutes). Once it&#8217;s uploaded, manage it as you would any other panopto recording.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IMPORTANT: We have very limited space in our Zoom accounts to store recordings in the cloud. Please delete them as soon as you have downloaded them.
