{"id":36,"date":"2012-07-20T10:01:09","date_gmt":"2012-07-20T09:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychotech\/?p=36"},"modified":"2012-07-20T10:01:50","modified_gmt":"2012-07-20T09:01:50","slug":"research-management-and-administration-system-ethics-extension-rmas-ee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/hsstech\/2012\/07\/20\/research-management-and-administration-system-ethics-extension-rmas-ee\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Management and Administration System &#8211; Ethics Extension (RMAS-EE)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have been awarded a grant from the <a title=\"JISC\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jisc <\/a>\u00a0for a project entitled Research Management and Administration &#8211; Ethics Extension, or RMAS-EE (#rmasee) for short.<\/p>\n<p>This is a fantastic opportunity for us, and as far as I know the first time a school level support group has been granted such an award. The project is going to involve integration of our home grown <a title=\"Open Ethics\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychotech\/2012\/06\/06\/introducing-open-ethics\/\" target=\"_blank\">Open Ethics project<\/a> \u00a0with a system being jointly developed between the Universities of Exeter, Kent and Sunderland called the Research Management and Administration System (RMAS). More information on the RMAS project can be found here:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/research\/rmas\/\">http:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/research\/rmas\/<\/a>, but it aims to link together a number of\u00a0separate\u00a0applications used to manage research applications and awards into a\u00a0coherent\u00a0system, where different applications can communicate using a shared communication bus , and message structure.
