It’s always great to talk about research and source findings, especially with new public heritage organisations in the USA!
Dr Catherine Bateson, Associate Lecturer of American History, recently gave a talk to the Morris Centre for Lowcountry Heritage, South Carolina, as part of their Virtually Speaking series of events. She spoke about her research into the production, performance and place of Irish American Civil War songs in American cultural history – themes her upcoming book will also discuss (to be published by LSU Press in Fall 2022).
