Dr John Wills, Reader in American History and Culture, is to take part in this year’s British Academy Virtual Summer Showcase 2020.
He’ll be speaking as part of their ‘Ready to Watch Schools Programme’ on Friday 19th June on what it’s like to be a video game researcher. Video games are played casually and competitively across the world. Gameplay allows people to dive into alternate realities, but what can these virtual worlds tell us about our real lives? Dr Wills will discuss the importance of video game research and answers the burning question we all want to know: does he get to play video games for a living?
You’ll be able to watch via the British Academy’s YouTube channel and here from 11am on Friday 19th June here.
