screensouthDarrienne Price of ScreenSouth, an organisation which has played a key role in the remembrance of the First World War in Kent (see their website at http://kentww1.com/), is looking for volunteers to support their ‘100 miles for 100 years’ project, which aims to set out a series of walking trails across Kent which will highlight Kent’s role during the war.

‘100 miles for 100 years’ will be a series of trails themed on local people, events and places relevant to the First World War in Kent. Thirty trails will be developed in 16 locations – Ashford, Canterbury, Dartford, Deal, Dover, Gravesend, Herne Bay, Isle of Sheppey, Lydd, Maidstone, Margate, Ramsgate, Sevenoaks, Southborough and High Brooms, Tenterden, and Tonbridge, with the total length of all the trails combined together being 100 miles.

ScreenSouth are holding training and local trail development workshops over the next couple of weeks. covering trail development, event development, community involvement and actually how to guide a trail. See below for a list of training dates and venues.
