{"id":905,"date":"2019-05-21T10:50:36","date_gmt":"2019-05-21T09:50:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/graduateschoolnews\/?p=905"},"modified":"2019-06-25T11:39:44","modified_gmt":"2019-06-25T10:39:44","slug":"recapture-graduate-research-photography-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college-studenthub\/2019\/05\/21\/recapture-graduate-research-photography-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"ReCapture Graduate Research Photography Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You are invited you to attend the final showcase and awards ceremony of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduateschool\/news\/index.html?view=713\">ReCapture Graduate Research Photography competition<\/a>, which is supported by the Graduate School Postgraduate Community Experience Award.<\/p>\n<p>The event will take place on <strong>Monday 17<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0June in Pilkington Lecture Theatre (PK011) on the historic Medway campus<\/strong>. It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the fantastic work undertaken at our University and to network with students, researchers and keen members of the public.<\/p>\n<p>The event will begin with a morning exhibition, which will display the artwork of all finalists and will be open to anyone interested. This session will be followed by the awards ceremony at 2pm, which will include refreshments and will be ticketed event. If you wish to attend the awards ceremony, please complete the form available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bit.ly\/ReCapture\">here.<\/a> Please note that the number of tickets is limited, therefore ensure you book your place as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>You may also wish to view and vote for the best of our artwork at the local exhibition in Medway before the main event:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Medway &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0-16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0June &#8211; Drill Hall Library (library caf\u00e9 gallery area)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information about the Medway campus and travel directions visit the University of Kent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/transport\/arrivals\/medway\/index.html\">website<\/a>. Those of you who do not have a valid parking permit for Medway campus and choose to travel by car may either wish to purchase daily car park vouchers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/transport\/byroad\/staff\/index.html\">here<\/a>, or otherwise, take one of the regular inter-campus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/campus-shuttle\/index.html\">University of Kent shuttles<\/a>. Alternatively, you may wish to park at the Historic Dockyard Mast Pond car park across the road (fees apply).<\/p>\n<p>Last but not least, we have now launched our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/MDRK2MQ\">e-voting page<\/a>, which enables you to view all images and vote online. Any votes received through this system will count towards the total public vote, and in turn, towards the final vote.
