The Polish Section of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iti-worldwide.org\/\">International Theatre Institute<\/a>\u00a0announced the award on 27 March, World Theatre Day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-594\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/graduateschoolnews\/files\/2018\/03\/Pauls-award-300x298.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"204\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college-studenthub\/files\/2018\/03\/Pauls-award.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college-studenthub\/files\/2018\/03\/Pauls-award-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 204px) 100vw, 204px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stanis%C5%82aw_Ignacy_Witkiewicz\">Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz\u00a0<\/a>(Witkacy) Prize has been awarded by the Polish Section of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iti-worldwide.org\/\">International Theatre Institute<\/a>\u00a0since 1983, and the prestigious award is given to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement promoting Polish theatre on an international scale. An expert on Polish Theatre, Professor Paul Allain has been invited to take part in an upcoming theatre festival in Poland to mark the award.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his role as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduateschool\/contacts\/profiles\/Deancontact\/Allain.html\">Dean of the Graduate School<\/a>, Professor Paul Allain is a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/arts\/staff-profiles\/drama\/allain.html\">Professor of Theatre and Performance<\/a> at the University\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/arts\/\">School of Arts<\/a>, where he continues to supervise PhD students from around the world.
