To apply, please email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:EARCpgmobility@kent.ac.uk\">EARCpgmobility@kent.ac.uk<\/a> with the\u00a0<strong>title of the course you wish to attend<\/strong>, and up to\u00a0<strong>500 words<\/strong>\u00a0addressing the following points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Background summary of your PhD project<\/li>\n<li>How the method proposed will advance your PhD project<\/li>\n<li>How attending the course will advance your skill set as a PhD candidate<\/li>\n<li>Why you wish\/need to attend the course this year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You will also need to include a\u00a0half page\u00a0<strong>supporting statement<\/strong>\u00a0from your supervisor, and a short\u00a0<strong>CV<\/strong>\u00a0outlining training courses you have already attended and indicating current level of statistics training.<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 20<sup>th<\/sup> April 2018, <\/strong>and the award will be announced by the end of April. \u00a0If you have any queries please email Hannah Swift\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:H.J.Swift@kent.ac.uk\">H.J.Swift@kent.ac.uk<\/a>\u00a0and\/or\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:EARCpgmobility@kent.ac.uk\">EARCpgmobility@kent.ac.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that applications from first and second year full-time PhD students (up to the fourth year for part-time PhD students) will be prioritised.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Eastern ARC\u00a0and the Graduate School will fund an opportunity\u00a0for ONE PhD student working on a project with applied quantitative methods to attend an\u00a0Essex summer school\u00a0training session.
