Highlights of work undertaken in 2021-22, in conjunction with central and Divisional colleagues and as part of Kent\u2019s commitment to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\/researcher-development-concordat\">Researcher Development Concordat<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\/hrer\">HR Excellence in Research Award (HRER)<\/a> accreditation, include the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Concordat and HRER Award:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/news\/2614\/hr-excellence-in-research-award-hrer-retained-after-eight-year-review\">HR Excellence in Research Award (HRER) retained after Eight Year Review<\/a><strong>, <\/strong>recognising Kent\u2019s continued commitment to support the development of our researchers at all career stages. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\/hrer\"><em>Learn more and view our HRER plans and report<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Webinar held on \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/news\/2373\/concordat-webinar-15-february-2022\">Responding to the challenge of the Researcher Development Concordat at Kent\u2019<\/a>, which discussed Kent\u2019s response to the challenge of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\/academic-and-research-staff-strategy\/concordat\">Researcher Development Concordat<\/a>, including 10 days&#8217; professional development pro rata per year for staff who research. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.microsoftstream.com\/video\/4d6e73b3-85a0-4388-b2c7-d62858c05b57\"><em>Listen to the recording<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Details published about the <a href=\"https:\/\/livekentac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/grc\/SitePages\/Concordat.aspx#concordat-principles\">Concordat principles<\/a> at Kent, including practical information, recent progress and current work on each principle. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/news\/2348\/new-information-about-the-concordat-principles-at-kent\"><em>Learn more and access the content<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Researcher resources:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/news\/2302\/central-researcher-induction-module-launched\">Central Researcher Induction (CRI) module<\/a> launched, providing useful and contextualised content for academic and research\u00a0staff,\u00a0and signposting guidance, support and resources available to them. <em>Learn more and access the <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/moodle.kent.ac.uk\/stafftraining\/course\/view.php?id=89#_blank\"><em>CRI module<\/em><\/a><em> and accompanying \u2018<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/livekentac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/grc\/SitePages\/Useful-Links.aspx\"><em>Useful links<\/em><\/a><em>\u2019 document.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dedicated <a href=\"https:\/\/livekentac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/grc\/SitePages\/Academic%20and%20Research%20Staff.aspx\">section for academic and research staff<\/a> developed as part of the new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/livekentac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/grc\/\">GRC KentNet site<\/a>. href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/news\/2394\/summer-vacation-early-career-research-competition-2022\">Summer Vacation Early Career Research Competition 2022<\/a>\u00a0for ECRs to support Black second-year undergraduates to gain research experience and<em>\u00a0<\/em>the updated T&amp;OD \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/livekentac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/TOD\/SitePages\/Horizons---New-Programme.-Open-for-Nominations-for-those-working-in-Research.aspx\">\u2018<\/a><a and providing networking opportunities for PDRAs, RAs and Research Associates. <a researchers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/news\/2215\/wellbeing-sessions-to-support-colleagues\">Wellbeing sessions<\/a> organised to support academic and research colleagues, and access to digital modules on \u2018Resilience\u2019 and \u2018Managing your Imposter\u2019 made available to researchers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Getting involved:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2018Getting involved\u2018 section included in the new <a href=\"https:\/\/moodle.kent.ac.uk\/stafftraining\/course\/view.php?id=89#_blank\">CRI module<\/a>\u00a0encourages colleagues to interact with and shape our academic and research community.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/news\/2604\/signposting-survey-for-academic-and-research-staff\">Signposting survey<\/a> run about usage of digital resources to support academic and research staff, and preferences for future resource types.<\/p>\n<p>Results of last year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitae.ac.uk\/impact-and-evaluation\/cedars\/culture-employment-and-development-in-academic-research-survey\">Culture, Employment and Development in Academic Research Survey (CEDARS)<\/a>\u00a0 published. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/news\/2230\/cedars-2021-results-now-available\"><em>Learn more and access additional information about
