{"id":2373,"date":"2022-02-07T18:14:26","date_gmt":"2022-02-07T18:14:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/graduateschoolnews\/?p=2373"},"modified":"2022-02-07T18:14:26","modified_gmt":"2022-02-07T18:14:26","slug":"concordat-webinar-15-february-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college-studenthub\/2022\/02\/07\/concordat-webinar-15-february-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Concordat webinar: 15 February 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Professor Paul Allain and Dr Alison Charles, with Divisional and central colleagues, will be holding a webinar on \u2018<strong>Responding to the challenge of the Researcher Development Concordat at Kent&#8217;,<\/strong>\u00a0on 15 February from 2-3pm.<\/p>\n<p>As a signatory of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\/academic-and-research-staff-strategy\/concordat\">Researcher Development Concordat<\/a> since June 2020, the University supports its <a href=\"https:\/\/livekentac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/grc\/SitePages\/Concordat.aspx#concordat-principles\">principles <\/a>as part of our commitment to create the very best culture for our researchers.<\/p>\n<p>The session will consist of a short overview of the context, progress to date and our current plans, followed by a discussion and Q&amp;A about how we might implement the Concordat principles, including 10 days\u2019 professional development pro rata per year for staff who research.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Alison Charles, Researcher Developer (Academic), said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease join us to learn about the wide-ranging work which is being undertaken to realise the Concorda<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitae.ac.uk\/policy\/concordat\">t<\/a> aims.
