{"id":2243,"date":"2021-11-25T17:18:49","date_gmt":"2021-11-25T17:18:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/graduateschoolnews\/?p=2243"},"modified":"2021-11-29T10:10:59","modified_gmt":"2021-11-29T10:10:59","slug":"hr-excellence-in-research-award-hrer-eight-year-review-published","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college-studenthub\/2021\/11\/25\/hr-excellence-in-research-award-hrer-eight-year-review-published\/","title":{"rendered":"HR Excellence in Research Award (HRER) Eight Year Review published"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Graduate and Researcher College (GRC) and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\/academic-and-research-staff-strategy\/rdag\">Researcher Development Advisory Group (RDAG)<\/a>\u00a0are pleased to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\/academic-and-research-staff-strategy\/hrer\">publish<\/a> the University\u2019s submission for the Eight Year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitae.ac.uk\/policy\/hr-excellence-in-research\">HR Excellence in Research Award (HRER)<\/a> external Review.<\/p>\n<p>The submission:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>reports on progress to support researchers since the HRER Six Year Review was published in November 2019<\/li>\n<li>reviews progress in relation to specific actions in a comprehensive Backwards Action Plan (2019-2021)<\/li>\n<li>sets out Kent\u2019s agenda for researcher development in an ambitious Forwards Action Plan (2021-2023).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dr Alison Charles, Researcher Developer (Academic), said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you so much to all academic, research and professional services colleagues who provided <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/news\/2164\/hrer-review-underway-all-feedback-welcome\">feedback<\/a> on progress to date, helped shape our plans and\/or examined draft documents. We are also grateful to Vitae for reviewing initial documentation and providing constructive feedback which encouraged us to streamline our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\/academic-and-research-staff-strategy\/hrer\">submission<\/a> to make it more readable by researchers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Further strengthening the support available to all Kent staff who research is a collective effort by numerous colleagues in Divisional and central teams who are working hard to implement a range of core actions which will have a measurable impact on researchers in the coming two years.
