This should benefit not only you, but also have long-lasting impact for future researchers.<\/li>\n<li>The survey should provide a clearer picture of Kent\u2019s progress towards implementing the principles of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\/academic-and-research-staff-strategy\/concordat\">Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers<\/a>,\u00a0to which the University signed up in\u00a0June 2020,\u00a0and\u00a0towards\u00a0upholding its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\/academic-and-research-staff-strategy\/hrer\">HRER commitment<\/a>\u00a0to support its researchers.<\/li>\n<li>A good response rate and national benchmarking\u00a0would\u00a0provide leverage for future changes at Kent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The CEDARS survey is\u00a0hosted on Online Surveys, a secure web environment, and\u00a0is\u00a0anonymous. It is managed\u00a0by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitae.ac.uk\/\">Vitae<\/a>,\u00a0the international organisation\u00a0supporting the professional development of researchers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who should participate?<\/strong> The survey targets colleagues who research at all career stages. This includes staff who are active researchers, teaching staff engaged in research (including \u2018teaching &amp; scholarship\u2019 staff) and academic staff who manage researchers.<\/p>\n<p>The Graduate and Researcher College\u00a0(GRC)\u00a0is coordinating this survey, as part of its new remit to support\u00a0all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/graduate-researcher-college\/academic-and-research-staff\">academic and research staff<\/a> in their career and personal development.
