The country is aiming for total decarbonisation by 2050, not just a \u201cnet zero\u201d target.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The search for environmental justice and sustainable futures demands the ability to engage with and mobilising divers interests across traditional cultural and political boundaries.\u00a0The event was originally scheduled for February but was cancelled due to the UCU strike.<\/p>\n<p>We are delighted to announce that in the\u00a0re-organisation of the event,\u00a0<\/span>Adrian Ely<\/strong>, Reader in Technology and Sustainability at University of Sussex has also agreed to join the discussion. Between 2015 and 2021, Dr. Ely has co-led the &#8216;Transformative Pathways to Sustainability&#8217; network, a global consortium of partners exploring diverse approach to sustainability can meet the needs of poor and marginalised people. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>The session is chaired by<strong> Dr. Trude Sundberg<\/strong>, Director of the Q-Step Centre and a founding member of the Centre for Global Science and Epistemic Justice at the University of Kent.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<aside>*This event is hosted by the Centre of Global Science and Epistemic Justice.
