Professor Michael Calnan (GSEJ) along with William Cockerham (University of Birmingham Alabama, USA) and Miwako Hosoda (Seisa University, Japan), is organising a Routledge Open Research Collection focused on New Sociological Perspectives on Health and Illness.
This Collection expects to receive submissions focusing on, but not limited to, the following topics:
· Sociological analysis of pandemics
· Impacts of socio-economic position and race/ethnicity on health outcomes
· Digitalization in health care
· Bio-social models of health and disease
· Medicalization and pharmaceuticalization
· Migrant health
· Social experience of health and aging
· Patient experience of illness
