Congratulations to GSEJ Founding Member Dr. Trude Sundberg, for being awarded third place in the University of Kent’s Community Ambassador award
The award honours teams or individuals who have made a positive impact on the community outside of their duties through outstanding dedication, competence, altruism, passion and citizenship. For this Kent award, Dr Sundberg’s support for LGBTQ+ communities was highlighted as a particular achievement.
In fact, Dr Sundberg’s has long worked on the lived experiences of vulnerable and marginalised groups in society across different regions, nations and parts of the world by looking at both emotional and physical effects of discrimination, stereotyping, values, attitudes and inequalities. This Kent award is one of the latest recognitions of their positive impacts on shaping and supporting LGBTQ+ communities.
