Call for Papers: The Sociology of Vaccines

Michael Calnan (SSPSSR, University of Kent), Jens Zinn (University of Melbourne, Australia) and Tom Douglass (University of Birmingham) are advising an Open Research collection on the Sociology of Vaccines. The collection is dedicated to open research on the social, economic and cultural aspects of health, illness and treatment.

The collection is currently seeking contributions within the broader sociological theorising on risk and beyond, including but not limited to:

  • Socio-cultural
  • Governmentality/biopolitics
  • Risk society
  • Edgework
  • Systems theory
  • Actor network theory
  • Intersectional
  • Post-colonial
