These are moslty distributed across our provision in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cewl\/courses\/world\/index.html\">World Languages<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cewl\/courses\/improve-your-english.html\">English Language and Academic Skills<\/a>\u00a0and our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/international-pathways\/\">Pathway Programmes<\/a>\u00a0along with an impressive 270 students on CEWL-run<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/studyplus\/index.html\"> Study Plus<\/a> courses.<\/p>\n<p>We have seen notable increases in the number of students taking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cewl\/courses\/world\/language-express\/index.html\">Language Express<\/a> courses and of those making the most of our free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cewl\/courses\/in-sessional\/ie.html\">English Language and Academic Skills<\/a> classes. We also had a number of new courses this year with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cewl\/courses\/world\/language-express\/LX20.html\">Language Express Greek<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cewl\/courses\/ielts\/index.html?tab=ielts-preparation-courses\">IELTS Test Preparation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/courses\/modules\/module\/LZ047\">Academic Skills for Maths and Science Foundation<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cewl\/courses\/british_sign_language.html\">British Sign Language<\/a> courses all starting in September 2017.\u00a0We also have new courses starting in September 2018 with additional levels being provided on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cewl\/courses\/world\/world-lang-modules.html\">Arabic and Mandarin World Languages<\/a> modules\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cewl\/courses\/world\/language-express\/LX20.html\">Language Express Dutch<\/a> and a credit-bearing version of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cewl\/talking-cultures\/index.html\">Talking Cultures<\/a> course.<\/p>\n<p>With the vast majority of our courses seeking to offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/global\/index.html\">internationalisation<\/a> opportunities for all students at Kent, we are delighted to be able to do so for so many students.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this, CEWL then administers other Study Plus courses and Summer Schools, adding another 812 students for a total of over 3,000 students. We&#8217;re excited to now be able to welcome these students <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/cewl-ip\/2018\/06\/21\/cewl-move-to-chipperfield\/\">in our new premises in Chipperfield<\/a> and look forward to seeing many more in 2018-19.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have seen yet another bumper year on CEWL courses with over 2,000 students attending in 2017-18.
