{"id":1953,"date":"2025-04-16T12:56:58","date_gmt":"2025-04-16T11:56:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/global-learning\/?p=1953"},"modified":"2025-04-16T12:56:58","modified_gmt":"2025-04-16T11:56:58","slug":"innovations-in-internationalisation-at-home-conference-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/global-learning\/2025\/04\/16\/innovations-in-internationalisation-at-home-conference-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovations in Internationalisation at Home Conference 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/livekentac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/GLL\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Global Learning<\/a> is once again delighted to be holding its <strong>&#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/global\/activities\/conferences\/iih\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Innovations in Internationalisation at Home<\/a>\u2019 <\/strong>Conference (#IIH2025) \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/search\/results\/all\/?keywords=%23iih2025&amp;origin=HASH_TAG_FROM_FEED\"><strong>#IIH2025<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will take place online on Tuesday 29 (09.00-12.00 BST) and Wednesday 30 April 2025 (15.30-18.30 BST).<\/p>\n<p>#IIH2025 brings an opportunity to learn from best practice around the world, with a series of more than 20 asynchronous video case studies, and live facilitated discussions on 29 and 30 April.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conference Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2018Show us your Impact\u2019 is the theme for this year\u2019s conference.\u00a0 As the importance of Internationalisation at Home (IaH) continues to grow its sector-wide interest, being very varied in nature, we have been keen to showcase insights into impact from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives. There will be a flipped component ahead of the live event where attendees will have access to a series of asynchronous video presentations exploring impact of IaH in a variety of contexts and countries, including case studies from institutions in Brazil, Egypt, Ireland, Philippines, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, US, and the UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plenary Sessions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are excited to welcome two colleagues who have been at the forefront of measuring impact in global learning.<\/p>\n<p>On Day 1 the Opening Plenary will feature Dr Ankie Hoefnagels, Professor and Chair of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zuyd.nl\/en\/research\/researchcentres\/global-minds-at-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zuyd University Research Centre Global Minds at Work<\/a> in the Netherlands, who will share with us her Global Mind Monitor tool and Polly Collingridge and Kelsey Dery from the<a href=\"https:\/\/culturalq.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Cultural Intelligence Centre UK<\/a>, will open our conference on Day 2 by introducing CQ or Cultural Intelligence and the tools available to measure impact through the Cultural Intelligence Centre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presenters and Panellists<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Amongst a series of video presenters will feature University of Kent\u2019s very own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/kent-law-school\/people\/1190\/charleton-laura\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laura Charlton<\/a>, Senior Lecturer Kent Law School, who will be sharing her presentation, \u2018UnCOILing the impact of Internationalisation at Home: law student perspectives as COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) participants and the case for co-creation\u2019, allowing conference attendees to hear from Kent student participants who have recently completed a COIL; Kent Law School with Universit\u00e9 de Bordeaux, France. We will hear directly from them on their perceptions of its impact.
