Refresh Your Wardrobe Sustainably.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Our student <a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/careers\/global-opportunities\/gold\">Global Officers<\/a> in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/ksu.co.uk\/advice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kent Student&#8217;s Union Advice Service<\/a> are hosting a clothes swap event next week, on <strong>Thursday 20 March<\/strong> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/maps\/canterbury\/canterbury-campus\/building\/students-centre-the-venue\/\">The Venue<\/a>, from <strong>10-4pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We would like you to donate unwanted clean, good quality clothes in advance of the main Clothes Swap event (so we can set up \u2018shop\u2019 for you) at two drop off locations around campus on <strong>Tuesday 18<\/strong> and <strong>Wednesday 19 March<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/maps\/canterbury\/canterbury-campus\/building\/chipperfield-extension\/\">Chipperfield Extension Reception<\/a> (donate between 12-4pm)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/maps\/canterbury\/canterbury-campus\/building\/mandela-building\/\">Mandela Building<\/a> (donate during opening hours)<\/p>\n<p>The number of items you donate will be the number of items you will be able to take on the day of the swap! Each item will give you a token, the more items you donate the more tokens you will earn. On event day, you will be given the tokens which you will use to \u2018buy\u2019 whichever items you choose.<\/p>\n<p>We are encouraging you to think sustainably as well as financially, looking at how you can save money and act responsibly now that Spring is on its way and you may be reviewing or refreshing your wardrobes.<\/p>\n<p>Items <strong>NOT<\/strong> accepted include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Damaged or dirty clothing<\/li>\n<li>Shoes<\/li>\n<li>Accessories such as bags and hats<\/li>\n<li>Jewellery<\/li>\n<li>Underwear, socks, tights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you can\u2019t donate in advance, we will also be accepting donations on the morning of the swap in The Venue from 10am-12pm.<\/p>\n<p>Any queries, please contact <a href=\"mailto:DeanGlobalLifelong@kent.ac.uk\">DeanGlobalLifelong@kent.ac.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We look forward to seeing you there!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1938\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/global-learning\/files\/2025\/03\/Image-3.jpg\" alt=\"Poster for event: a blue background with arrows and details of where the event will be held\" width=\"245\" height=\"304\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Swap, Don\u2019t Shop!
