{"id":1288,"date":"2023-04-05T08:58:14","date_gmt":"2023-04-05T07:58:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/international-programmes\/?p=1288"},"modified":"2024-10-29T10:26:14","modified_gmt":"2024-10-29T10:26:14","slug":"spring-vacation-guide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/global-learning\/2023\/04\/05\/spring-vacation-guide\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring Vacation Guide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Spring vacation period takes place between 7 April and 8 May (inclusive).<\/p>\n<p>Between these dates there are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/bank-holidays\">Bank Holidays<\/a> on 7 April (Good Friday), 10 April (Easter Monday), 1 May (Early May Bank Holiday) and 8 May (King\u2019s coronation).<\/p>\n<p>Many of the University\u2019s services will remain open during the break, although some will have reduced hours and will be closed on the Bank Holidays.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the University\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/student\/news\/34336\/spring-break-2023-kent-services-are-still-here-for-you-opening-times\">Spring Vacation Period<\/a> page for further details of opening times for the Templeman and Drill Hall Libraries, Nexus, catering outlets, Student Support and Wellbeing, Careers and Employability Service, the Student Learning Advisory Service, the Sports Centre and Kent Union.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1292\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/global-learning\/files\/2023\/04\/hare-gfb84a9e35_1920.jpg\" alt=\"Easter break\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Plus, if you&#8217;re staying on campus, don\u2019t miss Easter events taking place during the break. You don\u2019t need to celebrate Easter to attend and enjoy them!<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday 4 April 2-5pm there will be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/60077\/student-easter-egg-hunt-medway\">Student Easter Egg Hunt on the Medway campus<\/a> open to all students. Find the eggs hidden around the three University of Kent Buildings and exchange them at Reception in the Medway building for an Easter treat.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1290\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/global-learning\/files\/2023\/04\/easter-g0cfc2fe7e_1920.jpg\" alt=\"Easter egg hunt\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday 5 April 10am-4pm there will be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/60072\/college-egg-hunt-canterbury\">Student Easter Egg Hunt on the Canterbury campus<\/a>. Find the eggs hidden around the colleges and bring them to the College and Community Life office in the Locke building for an Easter treat.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday 5 April 12-3pm, join Kent Union and get creative for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/59590\/give-it-a-go-easter-crafts\">Give It A Go Easter Crafts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And on Thursday 6 April 6.30pm-8.30pm, Woolf College residents can head to Woolf Seminar Room 3 for some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/59905\/woolf-college-easter-egg-decorating\">Easter egg decorating<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1294\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/global-learning\/files\/2023\/04\/pexels-jill-wellington-3979241.jpg\" alt=\"Easter break\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re looking to use the Spring break as an opportunity to develop your skills and boost your CV, the Careers and Employability Service are hosting an online event titled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/58605\/how-to-make-the-most-of-your-vacation-11\">How to make the most of your vacation<\/a> on 12 April 1-2pm and 19 April 2-3pm.
