Welcome to the CEWL and Kent International Pathways blog, which replaces our newletter Voicebox.
We have recently moved to new premises, the Chipperfield building on Park Wood road. This was previously the Kent Business School and has undergone a full refurbishment ahead of our move, and the building has been renamed Chipperfield after Sir Geoffrey Chipperfield, Pro-Chancellor at Kent from 1999 to 2005.
We now occupy the north wing of the building (closest to Sibson) on all three floors, along with the atrium and reception area.
This provides the Centre with flexible meetings and events space, dedicated social and teaching space, and a welcoming environment for the 2,000 students we teach each year on our various courses. We are already using our teaching spaces for both the Pre-sessional and CELTA courses and are using both classrooms and the main atrium for the Summer Schools welcome and farewell events.
The centrally timetabled seminar rooms and lecture theatre are still under renovation but we look forward to welcoming students from all Schools at Kent once term starts in September.
Kent Business School will continue to occupy the south wing on both floors.
