Employability Points<\/strong> (EP’s) are awarded for active engagement in extra-curricular ac<\/strong>tivities that can boost employability prospects post-university. EP’s are rewarded following the development and enhancmenet of skills.\u00a0\u00a0 You can earn\u00a0EP’s for attending careers\/employability talks\/workshops, volunteering, being a student mentor, work experience, society membership and so many more things.\u00a0 See the listings here: http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/employabilitypoints\/howtogetpoints.html <\/a><\/p>\n

Why collect points?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Essentially “points make prizes!”\u00a0 Where have we heard that before?\u00a0\u00a0 At the end of the academic year the number of\u00a0EP’s you have achieved will allow you to access various rewards\u00a0ranging from a voucher to training to a work placement.\u00a0\u00a0 For\u00a0more details see \u00a0http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/employabilitypoints\/rewards.html.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 This year the EP team are working hard to increase the number of rewards that are relevant to law students.\u00a0 Already there is a work experience opportunity available in the legal department of the\u00a0Brett Group and we hope for more by the end of the year.\u00a0\u00a0 (I have had questions about how to apply for this – you can’t – you need to earn the EP’s first and you will then be told how you can apply at the end of the EP collecting period).<\/p>\n

All KLS Employability organised activites\u00a0have employability points attached<\/strong> (even if we fail to tell you this – which sometimes we do!).<\/p>\n
