Simon Kirchin

Simon is a founding member of SoNG (the Southern Normativity Group), a member of Kent’s Aesthetics Research Centre, and a current member of the Executive Committee of the British Philosophical Association.

 

From 2008 to 2014, he was President of the British Society for Ethical Theory, which is the leading society in the UK for moral philosophy. He co-edits a book series,Bloomsbury Ethics, with Thom Brooks.

 

He also served as Associate Editor of Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, 2007-13.

Stamatina Liosi

Matina Liosi is an associate/assistant lecturer at the University of Kent. Matina works on the philosophical foundations of human and socioeconomic rights. She has studied philosophy and law in Greece and in the UK. Her current research extends from the philosophy of human rights to ethics and politics. She has also an interest in Aesthetics.

 

 

Alyx Robinson

Alyx is a graduate teaching assistant and PhD student at Kent. Her current research is optimistic about flourishing transhuman and immortal life, with general interest in existentialism, ethics, and emerging technology.

 

 

 

 

 

Joel Yalland

Joel is a part-time PhD student with a background in moral and political philosophy and the philosophy of religion. He has wider interests in epistemology and aesthetics and is working on a thesis examining the role of theism in metaethics and moral epistemology.
