This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding candidate to lead research into\u00a0<\/b>medical \u2018treat\/don\u2019t treat\u2019 decisions involving human-machine interaction in the specific context of kidney dialysis. This PhD project will equip a junior researcher to undertake the multi-disciplinary research on human-machine decision ecologies that will be increasingly important in the future.<\/p>\n
Reflecting the multi-dimensional nature of the topic area, the project supervisory team not only bring inter-disciplinary expertise but also the ability to work across the boundaries of their disciplinary domains. \u00a0Two team members (Dr Simon Bailey, Centre for Health Services Studies, and Dr Connal Parsley, Kent Law School) will take the role of lead supervisors, with the remaining team (Dr Rasa Mikelyte, Centre for Health Services Studies, Dr Larry Duffy, School of Cultures and Languages, and Dr Daniel Soria, School of Computing) collaborating in the supervision process to provide the successful candidate with additional access to expertise, support and networks.<\/p>\n
