{"id":907,"date":"2017-04-26T15:36:57","date_gmt":"2017-04-26T14:36:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/?p=907"},"modified":"2017-04-26T15:36:57","modified_gmt":"2017-04-26T14:36:57","slug":"office-depot-price-increase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/2017\/04\/26\/office-depot-price-increase\/","title":{"rendered":"Office Depot Price Increase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/files\/2017\/04\/office_depot-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-909 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/files\/2017\/04\/office_depot-1-300x169.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/files\/2017\/04\/office_depot-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/files\/2017\/04\/office_depot-1.jpg 410w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Following Brexit and the changes in the world \/ international economy in the past two years, Office Depot have requested a price increase for some items from the LUPC framework that we use for our Office Depot contract.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last 21 months since the new Office Supplies framework was awarded there have been no cost increases. 2016 saw a dramatic devaluation of the pound against the Euro \/ Dollar (the currencies most office supplies products are sourced in) which has had a significant\u00a0impact on the cost of goods for the office supplies industry in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0LUPC\u00a0Framework Agreement is based on a transparent cost plus model and Office Depot has only proposed a revision to a product price where they have actually incurred a cost change for that specific product. The proposed and full price review has been thoroughly audited by the\u00a0LUPC.
