{"id":2663,"date":"2023-03-01T15:04:40","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T15:04:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/?p=2663"},"modified":"2023-03-30T11:52:14","modified_gmt":"2023-03-30T10:52:14","slug":"enhancements-to-key-travel-online-booking-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/2023\/03\/01\/enhancements-to-key-travel-online-booking-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"Enhancements to Key Travel Online Booking Platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"xmsonormal\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;color: #262626\">Please see below message from Key Travel:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;color: #262626\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;color: #262626\">As part of our continued investment to enhance the customer journey and experience \u2013 including the recent launch of the Key Travel customer service portal, WhatsApp and SMS messaging, and WebChat \u2013 we are pleased to update with an important addition to the online booking portal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;color: #262626\">Until now, our flights search algorithm searched primarily by the \u2018lowest logical fare\u2019, meaning some flight searches may have returned only the very lowest fares, which nowadays may not include checked baggage as airlines increasingly move to \u2018fare families\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;color: #262626\">Now, the portal will return not only the very lowest fares, but also the next fare which includes checked baggage.
