The policy is published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/finance-staff\/docs\/procurement\/UOK%20Staff%20Travel%20Policy%20post-Covid%20May%202021.pdf\">here<\/a>.<br \/><br \/>The new policy states that staff should travel in the UK and abroad only where absolutely necessary and following detailed risk assessment and latest FCDO guidance. International travel requires a risk assessment. Domestic travel does not require a formal risk assessment.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>Travel requests will have to be approved by the agreed authoriser in your area.<br \/><br \/>The expectation is that travel will be much lower in the financial year 2021-22 than in pre-pandemic years.<br \/><br \/>The new policy includes detailed information on what you need to take into account before you travel including:<br \/><br \/>&#8211; Your health,\u202fsafety and\u202fwellbeing<br \/>&#8211; Insurance\u202f cover<br \/>&#8211; Financial implications<br \/>&#8211; Travel\/border\/visa\u202frequirements<br \/><br \/>You can view the new policy now on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/finance-staff\/procurement\/index.html?tab=travel\">Travel tab<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following the UK Government\u2019s recent relaxation of travel rules, the Procurement team has published an updated policy on staff travel during 2021-22.
