{"id":1937,"date":"2020-06-30T17:00:26","date_gmt":"2020-06-30T16:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/?p=1937"},"modified":"2020-06-30T17:00:26","modified_gmt":"2020-06-30T16:00:26","slug":"financial-year-end-2019-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/2020\/06\/30\/financial-year-end-2019-20\/","title":{"rendered":"Financial Year End 2019\/20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In preparation for the upcoming Financial Year End 2019\/20, we would like to kindly direct your attention to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/finance-staff\/general\/reports\/index.html?tab=other\">guidance notes, deadline calendar and forms<\/a>\u00a0 regarding various requests and deadlines for providing information that we require in completion of the University\u2019s financial statements.<\/p>\n<p>In order to assist with Year End process, the Financial Reporting Office is offering \u201c<strong>Microsoft Teams drop in sessions\u201d <\/strong>(just dial in) with Regina Neaves or Aidan Cooley on the following dates:<\/p>\n<p>13 July 2020 \u2013 2pm &#8211; 4 pm\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Regina Neaves<\/p>\n<p>15 July 2020 \u2013 10am &#8211; 12pm\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Regina Neaves<\/p>\n<p>17 July 2020 \u2013 11am &#8211; 12pm\u00a0 \u00a0 Regina Neaves<\/p>\n<p>21 Jul 2020 \u2013 10am &#8211; 12pm\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Aidan Cooley<\/p>\n<p>23 Jul 2020 \u2013 2pm \u2013 4 pm\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Aidan Cooley<\/p>\n<p>If you have any urgent queries or clarifications regarding year end ahead of that time we ask that you please email the finrep (<a href=\"mailto:finrep@kent.ac.uk\">finrep@kent.ac.uk<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>We do recognise that some of the Year End tasks such as Petty Cash\/Cash float (Y1), Stock take (Y2) or Asset register cannot be performed remotely and would require staff member to work on the campus in order to complete these duties. With this in mind, where it may not be possible to access or fully reconcile Petty cash or Stock we would still require Form Y1 &amp; Y2 to be completed to the best of your knowledge with an explanation on what basis your return has been prepared and submitted to Financial Reporting.
