{"id":1287,"date":"2018-02-01T15:56:31","date_gmt":"2018-02-01T15:56:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/?p=1287"},"modified":"2018-03-05T10:35:51","modified_gmt":"2018-03-05T10:35:51","slug":"new-procurement-limits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/2018\/02\/01\/new-procurement-limits\/","title":{"rendered":"New Procurement Limits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/files\/2017\/09\/procurement.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1093\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/files\/2017\/09\/procurement-300x172.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"172\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/files\/2017\/09\/procurement-300x172.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/finance-news\/files\/2017\/09\/procurement.jpg 476w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The University\u2019s current Purchasing Regulations contain financial thresholds that determine the approach that should be taken when purchasing goods and services.<\/p>\n<p>Following the amendment of the published OJEU Thresholds on 31 December 2017, the University has updated its Procurement Thresholds as incorporated within the Procurement Regulations.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">The only changes to the current approved thresholds are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The internal <strong>Goods and Services<\/strong> OJEU limit will increase from \u00a3150k to<strong> \u00a3175k<\/strong>. This is in line with the published OJEU value that has increased to \u00a3181k;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The internal <strong>Works<\/strong> OJEU Limit will move upwards by \u00a3500k from \u00a34m to<strong> \u00a34.5m<\/strong>. This is in line with the published OJEU value which has moved from \u00a34.1m to \u00a34.551m.<\/p>\n<p>Our internal limits remain below the OJEU limits to allow some tolerances.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Light Touch Services<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We will also consider the &#8216;<em>Light Touch<\/em>&#8216; Regime OJEU Limits for the following categories of work on a case-by-case basis :<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Health, social, educational, hotels, restaurants, postal, legal, healthcare and culture services.<br \/>\n\u2022 Subsidised services contracts.<br \/>\n\u2022 Research and development services.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that all the financial values and thresholds, including the OJEU Legislation, are net of VAT and VAT does not apply in calculating these figures.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any queries please contact the Procurement Team through the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/finance\/procurement\/index.html?tab=contact\"> Contact us form<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Staff can view the Threshold guidelines <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/finance-staff\/procurement\/index.html?tab=thresholds\">here<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The University\u2019s current Purchasing Regulations contain financial thresholds that determine the approach that should be taken when purchasing goods and services.
