Delays on Gibraltar\/Spain border.<\/strong>\u00a0The EU Rights Clinic’s Legal Supervisor Anthony Valcke\u00a0was quoted on EurActiv<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Public Service Europe published a piece from the EU Rights Clinic setting out the background to the border dispute which can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

EU migration today.<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0Austrian TV broadcaster ORF interviewed the EU Rights Clinic’s Legal Supervisor on challenges facing migrants in Europe today. The news report was broadcast on “Zeit im Bild” on 10 August 2013.<\/p>\n

The EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.<\/strong> In May 2013,\u00a0Euronews released a broadcast on the work of the EU Rights Clinic with a focus on the European Charter of Fundamental Rights. The news report can be watched here<\/a>\u00a0and is also available in French<\/a>.<\/p>\n

British Opt Out from EU Charter.<\/strong> The EU Rights Clinic was successfully involved in obtaining the release of documents relating to the UK’s Opt-Out from the EU Charter on Fundamental Rights. This case was reported by the EU Observer<\/a>, EuroPolitics<\/a>, Open Europe<\/a>, New Europe<\/a>, the Parliament Magazine<\/a>, the UK Human Rights Blog<\/a>\u00a0and StateWatch<\/a>\u00a0among others. Formal Launch.<\/strong> The EU Rights Clinic was formally launched at the Brussels Press Club<\/a> on 10 January 2013 to coincide with the start of the European Year of Citizens (see our\u00a0press release<\/a>). The event was reported by the Italian press agency (ANSA<\/a>),\u00a0on French radio (EU-radio-Nantes<\/a>)\u00a0and on the\u00a0On the Move<\/a>\u00a0and EuroPolitics<\/a> websites. The launch was also welcomed by the Secretariat of the Committee on Petitions of the European Parliament<\/a>.<\/p>\n
