Personal safety as well as potential damage to vehicles is being considered in regards to the whole car park being closed.<\/p>\n<p>The first 2-3 weeks of the project will produce a lot of dust and mud while the pink zone is brought down to the level of the current blue zone.<\/p>\n<p>Estates are working closely with the contractors and health and safety advisors to see if it is possible to safely reopen any part of the car park during the works.<\/p>\n<p>The project team are meeting on a very regular basis and are constantly monitoring the parking situation on campus.<\/p>\n<p>The Transport Team are working closely with Campus Security to advise and assist with traffic management during the car park closure.<\/p>\n<p>Keep up to date with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/transport\/news\/giles-lane-changes\/index.html\">Giles Lane car park changes webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Giles Lane car park will be fully closed Sunday 8 July overnight so works can start Monday 9 July.
