After many months in development, we are proud to announce that we have a brand-new transport website!\u00a0Our\u00a0<\/span>new website<\/span><\/a>\u00a0offers everything you need to know ranging from bus timetables to applying for a parking permit. The sleek yet simple design ensures that\u00a0all of\u00a0our useful information is accessible and easy-to-read so you can plan your journey with ease.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We would like to give a big thank you to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Sami Bakaitis<\/span><\/span><\/a>, a Student Work-Study Associate<\/a> who worked with us on this new project. His developing knowledge on building websites and his eagerness\u00a0<\/span>to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>implement sustainability into our new webpages<\/span>\u00a0made him the perfect candidate for this role. Despite working from home, the Transport Team<\/span>, the Web & Learning Development Team\u00a0<\/span>and Sami were<\/span>\u00a0all<\/span>\u00a0able to work together seamlessly to\u00a0<\/span>create<\/span>\u00a0a fluid and functional<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>website.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cI am proud of Sami and Kelsey Laidler-Symes (Sustainable Travel Operations Coordinator) for having produced a website that supports the <\/span><\/i>University\u00a0Travel Plans<\/span><\/i><\/a>\u00a0aim to reduce single car occupancy, carbon\u00a0emissions\u00a0and provides information about\u00a0<\/span><\/i>Commuting Smarter<\/span><\/i><\/a>\u00a0around\u00a0Kent.\u00a0<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I would like to\u00a0take this opportunity to\u00a0thank them both and\u00a0others\u00a0who have given\u00a0their\u00a0assistance\u00a0to enable them\u00a0to achieve this.\u00a0In\u00a0particular,\u00a0the\u00a0support from\u00a0Gill\u00a0Brealey\u00a0(Traffic Operations Coordinator), the\u00a0technical expertise from\u00a0Jonathan Thirwell\u00a0(UX Developer)\u00a0and the\u00a0guidance and help from Mark Fendley (Web and Learning Development Manager)<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
