Drivers on University of Kent Land need to be aware:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University of Kent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/transport\/byroad\/Final-version-Regulations-for-Management-of-Traffic-2017.pdf\">Regulations for the Management of Traffic &amp; Travel<\/a>\u00a0applies to all persons<\/li>\n<li>All vehicles must be parked within a marked bay at all times, unless permission has been given by an authorized person in the Transport or Security teams<\/li>\n<li>8am-5pm Monday to Friday, all drivers must have a permit to park on campus or visitors can display a P&amp;D ticket at Canterbury campus, in accordance with the permit\/ticket issued.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/transport\/enforcement\/index.html\">Parking enforcement<\/a>\u00a0is in operation at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Therefore, although attendance on the campus may be limited drivers are still required to have a parking permit if they need to park on campus throughout this time.<\/p>\n<p>The Transport Team recommend that staff and students who are eligible for a permit to park on campus review the most appropriate permit for them when applying.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Staff Permit Types:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>12 month permit<\/li>\n<li>3 month permit<\/li>\n<li>Monthly permit<\/li>\n<li>Day permit<\/li>\n<li>Car Share permit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Student Permit Types:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student permit &#8211; academic year, 3 month, monthly, or daily.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional Circumstance permit &#8211; academic year, 3 month, monthly, or daily.<\/li>\n<li>Health Access permit\u00a0&#8211; academic year, 3 month, monthly, or daily.<\/li>\n<li>Car share permit &#8211; 12 month or 3 month.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information on the different permits and how to apply: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/transport\/byroad\/index.html\">www.kent.ac.uk\/transport\/byroad<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The University actively promotes its\u00a0Travel Plan that aims to reduce single car occupancy and encourage sustainable travel to and from Canterbury City and Medway Towns; supporting improved air quality, low-carbon emissions and active travel.
