Remember that weather can change at any time. Be prepared for this before you start your journey.<\/p>\n<p>Where possible the Transport Team will tweet from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/unikent_travel\">@unikent_travel<\/a> with travel information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving<\/strong><br \/>\nEnsure that you and your vehicle are prepared for driving in adverse weather conditions. Read some\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rospa.com\/rospaweb\/docs\/advice-services\/road-safety\/drivers\/winter-driving-tips.pdf\">top tips<\/a>\u00a0to prepare for driving during the winter and don\u2019t forget to\u00a0plan your journey\u00a0before you leave so you are aware of any disruptions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Public transport, cycling and walking<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan your journey, check if there are problems on public transport or local roads<\/li>\n<li>Delay your journey, if possible, to allow temperatures to rise and ice or snow to melt<\/li>\n<li>Avoid footways in the shade.
