Along with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/english\/people\/profiles\/stirrup.html\" target=\"_blank\">David Stirrup (University of Kent)<\/a>, they will be discussing the historical and political context of George Catlin\u2019s \u2018Indian Gallery\u2019 to coincide with the NPG&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.npg.org.uk\/whatson\/george-catlin-american-indian-portraits\/exhibition.php\" target=\"_blank\"><i>George Catlin: American Indian Portraits<\/i><\/a>\u00a0season of events.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Free and open to the public, the event will explore Catlin\u2019s portraits alongside the responses of 19th century Native American intellectuals.
